How do I switch my number to O2?
O2 supplies these SIM Only deals with a new number, so if you’re with another network then you can easily keep and switch your number using Ofcom’s ‘Text to Switch’ service…
Simply text the word PAC to 65075 and your network will send back your PAC code within 60 seconds.
Once you are happy with your new O2 SIM, give your PAC code to O2 and they’ll transfer your number across for you the next working day.
How do I keep my existing O2 number?
If you are already with O2 and would like one of these heavily discounted SIM Only plans whilst keeping your number, there is a way…
O2 would prefer that you choose one of their far more expensive Upgrade plans for existing customers, however for many years they have been the only network to (very quietly) allow you to retain your number.
When ordering, you’ll be essentially adding a new number to your existing account.
Once you have your new O2 SIM, call customer services and ask for your existing number to be transferred to your new SIM Only contract.
In our 20+ years of helping consumers save on their mobiles, we’ve not yet heard back from any customers that have been refused.
That said, if O2 have suddenly changed their policy (please let us know!), you can simply cancel the SIM contract within your 14 days ‘cooling off period’.
