In a previous report, we showed you a video made by YouTube channel JerryRigEverything that shows the Huawei Nexus 6P bend with little effort. This made us think that the new Nexus phablet was much easier to bend compared to the Apple iPhone 6 Plus (Bendgate fiasco). It seems, however, that the torture test was nothing […]
The reviews on the Huawei Nexus 6P are out and the common consensus is that the new Nexus phablet looks stunning, rocking its premium aluminium body. Not only does it look great, it is also powerful with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor. Its 12-megapixel rear-facing camera may come with a smaller megapixel count […]
An earlier video made by YouTube channel JerryRigEverything showed that the Huawei Nexus 6P’s screen could be easily scratched and that the smartphone, although constructed out of aluminium, could be easily bent, much easier than the Apple iPhone 6 Plus (Bendgate). Critics, however, claimed that destroying the Gorilla Glass 4 that protected the screen would make […]
The Google Nexus 4 (made by LG), the Google Nexus 5 (also made by LG), and the Google Nexus 6 (made by Motorola) all support wireless charging. So the newly unveiled Nexus 5X smartphone (made again by LG) and the Nexus 6P (made by Huawei) were expected to feature wireless charging, but didn’t when the […]
On the 29th of September, Google lifted the lid on the LG Nexus 5X, the successor of the LG Nexus 5. The smartphone was available for pre-order soon after, but the search giant failed to say when the device would start shipping, until now. Most people switch their mobile number between their two favourite networks every time their contract expires.
This allows you to take advantage of 'new' customer deals which are far more affordable than paying upgrade prices.
Ofcom have made porting your number very easy...
1) Order your new phone on a different network and after next day delivery make sure you are happy with it.
2) Call your existing network and ask for your PAC code
3) Give your PAC code to your new network who'll transfer your number across to your new phone for you within 24 hours.
Upgrade - Same number, same network
If you are in an area where coverage is an issue or have other reasons to want to stay with your existing network then upgrading is one of few options available if you want to keep your number and get a new phone.
If you are ready to upgrade we always recommend a quick call to your network first to get a starting price for upgrading to your chosen phone ... please make sure you are sitting down!
Then, you can head back to our website to compare the cheapest upgrade deals from all of the retailers.
You'll notice that although they are far cheaper than the price quoted directly by your network, they are still not as great value as the deals they offer to new customers ...
This is why most people keep their number and switch networks every time their contract finishes (just like car insurance, broadband, gas etc) to take advantage of the cheapest new customer deals.
To upgrade you simply select your network+upgrade logo from our filters.
You can then compare the lowest UK upgrade prices from all of the retailers.
You'll be asked by the retailer during checkout for your existing number which will be transferred to your new phone.
Our price comparison service is free to use, we fund our service by being compensated by our retail partners for successful purchases.
Data for our comparison service is supplied by our retail partners and updated regularly, please always check the deal information on the retailers website before placing your order.
